• Bring life to all rooms with fresh paint where needed and paint trim and doors to lighten them up. Also, don't forget to dust your fans and clean all glass windows and doors, especially if you have kids and pets.

• It would be best if you replaced any broken tile from the shower, and before leaving for a showing, double-check that the bathrooms are clean and have a fresh smell.

• As stated above, you want to make rooms appear more extensive and illuminated. Changing light bulbs and opening the blinds will help with that. Check that all leaky faucets are replaced in the bathrooms and kitchen. Remember to maintain your landscape and the entryways clear.

But, if you are trying to sell it to get top dollar, it is recommended to spend extra on repairs and obtain a home inspection before putting it on the market, which will help your home get more attention.
