When choosing to move to a new city, we all have doubts about whether we will thrive in this new place. The first thing to do is to research the place and the things we are interested in. Suppose it fits our family traditions and activities. In that case, if we can find a workplace where we will grow, which schools are recommended, and such important information, the move would be a no-brainer. Now we have to find out that everything is within acceptable driving distance, but we can do that nowadays through the internet and asking in social media.
Being prepared is ideal, but it is not always the case. Being financially, emotionally, and mentally aware is the best approach, but realistically we don't know until we are completely moved in. Researching a #neighborhood will be on your to-do list, along with transportation (if you don't have your own), schools, the workforce, place of worship, different activities and recreation centers that fit your lifestyle.
Once you find a city that calls your heart, make sure you can afford housing, so research, research, and research. Another good idea before you move somewhere is to plan a visit and feel what it is like to live in the new place. Also, call around and ask the professionals (The Dream Team, here in Jackson, TN) to find out if you can buy or rent a house.
If you can buy, create a budget, and stick to it, make sure you have enough money for moving expenses, closing costs, down payment, and potential HOAs, so you won’t be caught with extra expenses. Check city websites, and find the city taxes, utilities, government policies, events, schools, parks, police departments, etc.
In our growing city of #Jackson, we have everything to live a peaceful, entertained, and fulfilled life. A lot of what you need to know is found on our city website https://www.jacksontn.gov/ from businesses in the area, schools, parks and recreation, the annual event calendar, the upcoming changes, and current work in the city. If you are an animal lover, you can also learn how to adopt your next furry baby. Moreover, we have shopping centers, a variety of restaurants, farmers' markets, flea markets, a civic center where events are hosted year-round, universities, and much more. It is important to mention that Jackson is in between the biggest cities in Tennessee, Memphis, and Nashville, which is an advantage to being close to international airports
Don't be shy; come, visit us, and call #TheDreamTeam Brandie at @731-695-2785 or myself, Sandra, at @615-788-6881 for your rental or home purchase. We can tell you everything you need to know over coffee in one of our local cafes and show you where you can go for a hike, take a bicycle ride or get a job.
